Spencer joined the Brave Life Therapy team in 2023 and we are excited to have them as they offer lots of experience.

Spencer completed their master’s program in clinical mental health counseling from Marian University. Spencer works with children ages 8+, teens, and adults. Their areas of expertise include gender and sexuality identity, coming out, neurodiversity, mood disorders, anxiety, burnout, trauma, caregiver fatigue, parenting stress, and polyamorous/ ethically non-monogamous relationships.

Spencer has specialized training in Exposure Response Prevention for treatment of OCD and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for treatment of trauma related disorders, depression, anxiety, and nightmares. They also have a trauma certification from Arizona Institute.

They prioritize providing a safe, affirming, supportive, and collaborative environment while utilizing person-centered, attachment, and feminist frameworks. Spencer’s approach to therapy is relaxed, gentle, and holistic. They believe in meeting the client where they are at in life and working together to build upon client strengths to help meet therapy goals and empower clients to live the life they want. They hold an “all of you is welcome” belief and takes a creative approach to therapy to help meet the needs of their clients.

Outside of the office, Spencer can be found reading, performing as a freelance musician, facilitating drum circles, going on adventures with their doggo, or spending time with family and friends.

Individual and family therapy 50 minutes, $135

Spencer provides therapy VIRTUALLY ONLY.

The Brave Life Therapy does not believe that income should limit a person's ability to access high quality mental health care. Many of our clinicians offer reduce rates based on availability and client need. Please see Spencer’s sliding scale fee rate to and reach out to us with additional questions.

Does Spencer accept insurance? 

  • No, Spencer does not accept any form of insurance and is self-pay only.

  • HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Superbills are available upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement.


Full-Fee Rates: 

  • Full fee sessions are $125 for 55-minute sessions.
