Meet Harley Hill, LMHCA

She/Her, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

Licensed in Indiana and Florida

Harley sees kids and teens, ages 3+, as well as adults. She specializes in working with emotion dysregulation, anxiety, LGBTQIA+ issues, trauma implications, and neurodivergence (e.g. autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder). She offers individual therapy, family therapy, and parenting sessions.

Harley graduated from Purdue University in 2020 with a B.S. in Psychology, and again in 2022 from Marian University with a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has three years of experience at a residential treatment facility for children/adolescents with behavioral and developmental disabilities where she worked as an administrator, direct support professional, and as a crisis management team member. While at Purdue, Harley worked as an intern in an ABA clinic for children with autism spectrum disorder, and as a research assistant in a laboratory studying the efficacy of service dogs on children with autism. During her time at Marian, Harley worked in a community mental health center where her primary caseload consisted of domestic violence perpetrators and in a private practice setting with children and teens exclusively.

Currently, Harley is one of three pediatric mental health therapists at Brave Life Therapy. She has attended many trainings which have addressed effective play therapy, multicultural issues in counseling, trauma-informed care, and LGBTQIA+ needs. Harley is pursuing her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) license through the national organization Association for Play Therapy.

Harley says, "Play is the natural language of a child. Through the use of direct and indirect play, and lots of humor, I will walk alongside your child in their journey called life. My goal is to equip children and their families with resources, skills, and knowledge to help them form and maintain healthy attachments and a peaceful household."
