Child Therapy in Indianapolis
We offer individual and group therapy for kids, teens and parents in Indianapolis, and online throughout Indiana and Florida.
Child Therapy is now offered at The Brave Life Therapy and is now online. We are a team of incredibly warm and dynamic child and adolescent therapists. We offer both individual counseling and a variety of therapy groups for kids and teens.
We offer talk therapy, play therapy, parenting support and family therapy. We offer 45 minute individual therapy session for young children ages 3 to 12 and for teenagers. When working with children of such a young age we often highly recommend participation from at least one, but ideally all involved parents, or guardians.
Our child therapy and group therapy includes social skills, anxiety management, mindfulness, art therapy, music therapy, and emotional regulation skills.
Therapy for young children can be beneficial when children are exhibiting emotional, social, or behavioral issues that appear to be out of the range of normal development and/or are causing distress to the child and impacting their ability to engage successfully at home, school, or in public. Our therapists typically utilize play therapy in order to cultivate a warm, friendly, and non-judgemental environment where the child can explore and increase awareness of emotional states, social cues/skills, and develop healthy problem solving strategies.
Our therapists will often meet with a parent at the end of each session for 5 to 10 minutes and/or schedule a separate parental consult session once every couple months based on the needs of the family.
